Welcome to the East Riding NEU

Whether you are an experienced teacher, support staff member, early career educator, leader, supply colleague or trainee, we are here to support, represent and advise you throughout your career.

The National Education Union is the largest education union in Europe, bringing together education professionals who believe in high-quality, inclusive education for every child and young person. The union stands for fairness, equality, professional respect, properly funded education, and the collective strength that comes from members working together.

At East Riding NEU, we are proud to support members across nearly 200 schools, colleges and educational settings. We provide advice, representation, training, campaigning opportunities and a strong local network of colleagues who are committed to improving education and working conditions for all.

Our district is led by our executive committee of teachers who ensure the objects of the union are followed, and the NEU locally flourishes:

They are supported by a dedicated team of officers, workplace representatives and activists who give their time and expertise to ensure members receive the support they need.

Through collective action and professional solidarity, members have shown that they can make a real difference for both education staff and the children and young people they serve.

The East Riding NEU is a member-led organisation. The strength of our union comes from the involvement of its members, whether as workplace representatives, district officers, campaigners, or simply by attending meetings and sharing ideas.
